Where do driving lessons take place?
Driving lessons meet at the former Cary Towne Center Mall parking lot. You can enter 848 Southeast Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511 into your GPS, which will bring you to a nearby parking lot where we meet. We will be in a sedan with a large white rooftop sign that reads "Exceptional Driver Services."
Will my insurance cover a medical driving evaluation?
At this time, medical driving evaluations are not covered by insurance. These services are considered educational and safety-focused rather than medical, and payment is the responsibility of the client or family.
How many lessons will I need?
The number of lessons varies based on experience, goals, and individual needs. After an initial evaluation, we'll recommend a plan tailored to the driver. Typical ranges include:
-Teen drivers: often 12-20 lessons, depending on experience and confidence
-Adult drivers using adaptive equipment: typically 6-8 or more lessons, depending on familiarity with the equipment and driving goals
-Low vision with driving experience 8-12. New drivers, 15-20.
-Refresher or skill-specific support: may require fewer sessions
Our goal is to provide the right level of support-not more, and not less-based on what each driver needs to drive safely and confidently.
How will I recognize the instructor's vehicle for lessons?
Our instructor will arrive in a sedan clearly marked with a large white rooftop sign labeled "Exceptional Driver Services."
